I said No!!!

Have to be short, there is a baby at work that needs my attention! Yesterday, we met Jen and Jonah at Ben and Irv's for lunch.

Aden got his usual grilled cheese.

Aden dropped his milk and Amy said No and this was his reaction!

He's totally cracking up over Amy's discipline!

It doesn't help when Amy also laughs.

After work, we went for a walk in our deserted neighborhood.

Head Shoulders Knees and Toes!

Still chillin' with his legs crossed.

That's my miserable boy!

He's very ticklish!

Rushing to get to his bath!

Can't Catch Me!

I didn't take a lot pictures last night. My home computer is down to 2 gigs of space! An external won't work because I already have an external that I use for the Time Machine backups so I can't back up from a second external as well as the internal hard drives. I spent most of then night looking for things to throw out, but the bulk of the stuff is the pics and videos of Aden. Could you imagine if I have a 15 megapixel dslr or a HD video cam? I would have run out of room ages ago.

Here is Aden running away from Melissa and her mom.

He's getting away! Right into the tv cabinet!

By the the time Mark got there, Aden was all worn out and mellow.

Aden likes the blocks that Mark's parents bought him.

She's My Girl!

These are some random shots over the last few days. Monday, when I got home from work, Aden was excited to see me!

Playing on the driveway again. Amy's mom came over and we made hot turkey sandwiches. I finally got around to putting in more of the sliding outlet covers and the missing doorknobs!

Yesterday, when I got home, Aden had no interest in me. He was watching his Baby Boost Nursery Rhymes.

These next two shots are the same except the first was taken with a flash and the second wasn't. Which do you think has a more natural look?

Aden loves his new truck.

He's finally moving forward. He's always been good at backwards.

This morning, I dropped off Aden at school and right away he wanted to play with Cameryn.

They really play well together.

Hey, Matthew, get away, she's my girl!

Then the Storm Came

Sunday morning we woke up and it was cloudy. I spoke with my parents back home and they said the weather was horrible. Crazy thunderstorms and flooding. We figured we had some time before the storms got to us so we decided to go for a walk. But first, Aden wanted to play. Aden loves to stand by this table, which is not a great idea. It is glass with sharp edges and he has a little cut on his chin to prove it!

We actually didn't make it very far before the rain started. We did walk into an open house in Longport. We found the house that Amy and I and Melissa and Mark should buy!

Lauren was bonding with Chloe. That made Aden jealous. You should have seen Aden flirting with Lauren. He really liked her.

Melissa and I ran to her car in the pouring rain and floods to check on it, it was fine of course. Here is the aftermath.

It got really deep! The sidewalk was under water.

Eventually the rain stopped and the floods abated, so we packed the car and headed to Pennsauken to meet my family at the Pub to celebrate my dad's birthday. Obviously Aden can't read or he would have known better! He is lucky they let him in!

There was so much to look at.

But the long weekend finally caught up with him.

Hey Bubbie!

Happy Birthday Grandpop!

A huge piece of chocolate cake for us all to share.

Even Aden! It's amazing how tentative he is when you put regular food in front of him. He eats, but slowly. But if it's cake, there is no hesitation. It's gone as soon as he can reach it!

The Calm Before the Storm

Saturday was a beautiful day. Amy, Aden and I went for a walk and ended up at Jaime's house. We were glad that Aden got to play with Jared who is only six weeks younger than him.

Their deck is right on the bay. It is the perfect place to sit after the beach and relax.

Dragging everything to the beach, than over the stairs is getting to be too much. I can't wait till Aden can carry his own stuff! He was standing in the ocean, clinging to my leg. He seemed to like it.

We had a great day on the beach. Saw a bunch of people including Jessica that lives next door and babysat Aden once. He smiled when he saw her. He seems to have a good memory.

Jared was also playing in the water. We left around three so Aden could take a nap.

Of course, when we got back, Aden was wide awake. He wanted to play with the dogs.

We have to watch Chloe, she will snap at him.

Aden and Jenny grabbed the ball from each other.

Jenny won and quickly lost interest.

Finally, he got tired and took a nap.

Not that it mattered. Again we had no babysitter so we weren't going anywhere anyway. We brought in food from Jonuzis and watched tv all night. Or should I say I watched tv and Amy read Twilight 3 off my iPod as she doesn't want to pay for the hardback. It's finally coming out in paperback this week so I can get my iPod back. Anyway, we potentially have 2 babysitters for next week so we can finally make plans!

The Chelsea

It's Saturday night and we are stuck at home. No babysitter. Sucks. We have been unable to get a babysitter the entire Summer! So I figured I would work on this. Thursday, I got home and Aden playing on the driveway.

We did some weeding while he watched. That totally wore us out. It's so hard to fight these weeds. I'm close to pulling everything out and planting grass.

Friday morning, Aden was trying to get away from me but there wasn't really anywhere he could go!

He loves to grab things off the desk.

The safety guy really wants me to get rid of the desk. He doesn't think it's safe.

Friday, I had lunch with Amy, Aden and my parents at the Clubhouse Diner. It's Aden's favorite place. He can make a huge mess and they don't get upset and he loves to look at the huge fish tank.

The drive down the Shore was not fun. We pretty much followed a line of thunderstorms the whole way. We probably should have stopped and had dinner. At some points, we couldn't see out the windows. A lot of people just pulled over to wait it out. We finally made it and the streets were flooded in Margate. That made unpacking the car not fun.

Aden got a bath and was somehow swallowed by a monster.

Aden fell asleep and Amy's parents stayed home so we headed to Atlantic City. We ate at the Chelsea. It was good Steven Starr food that we are used to. We hung out at the Chelsea a bit then went to visit Jason and Rachel. We talked till 1:30 in the morning!
