Sinking Sleds

I basically give up.  First Amy was told their would be a three hour delay with no lunch, then school was just cancelled.  Melissa called about 5:30 am and woke us up to tell us she lost power.  Ours was gone about an hour later.  Why does the alarm system have to freak out when we lose power?  Scary.  It was actually the first time in 5 years we lost power for more than a few moments.  I'm writing this about 3 pm and there is still no power, although some of neighbors have it!  For those of you not from the area, we had some snow overnight but it turned into ice by the morning.  Trees are down everywhere.  Amy's parents had power so I took them there before I went to work.  It took a long time to get there.  We kept having to take detours around fallen trees.  What a mess.

Back to Monday's mess.  It snowed pretty hard all day.
 We kept the kids busy.
Who is coming over after the kids fall asleep?
Finally it slowed down and was time to explore.

Aden had 3 sleds to chose from and took this one.
Over the hill.
We went next door to sled but the snow wasn't good for it.
I walked out to the bigger hill behind our houses but it wasn't any better.
Aden is ready for Maui!
 Ariel was not thrilled.
 That's better.

 Aden had a blast.
We got tired of holding Ariel and took a break on the driveway.
 Back to the snow.
She's lost in her snow suit.
More kids came out.

Let's build a snowman!
Ok, enough.
Hot chocolate time!

Ali sent this.  Sam was as thrilled about the snow as Ariel was!
