Disney. And So It Starts.

We are back!  For those of you who didn't realize we were away, we just spent a week between a Disney cruise and Disney World!  And what a week it was.  We almost forgot how difficult in can be to travel with 2 little ones but we had no idea how hard when one of them is sick.  Ariel, who has only had one or two very low very short fevers her entire life, had a high fever for 5 days!  I don't know how many pictures I will post.  I took over 1000.  These first 50 are the day we got to Florida and day 1 on the boat.

Amy's parents came with us!  We flew out last Saturday, a day before the cruise, just to make sure we would get there if there were any problems.  At Philly airport, they sent us through the TSA pre-check line where you don't have to take off shoes or belts or empty pockets or take out big electronics or liquids.  Not sure why but I liked it!
Ariel, who I had been careful to keep away from sickness all week, all the sudden got super hot and lethargic.  When we got to Orlando, Amy ran to Walgreens to get a thermometer and aspirin.
She seemed a little better after the aspirin so we headed to dinner at Wolfgang Puck's in Downtown Disney.
Aden did a little dance for us.  Hard to tell but it was packed.

Look at those apples!
Lego store.

We stayed at the Hyatt which is right in the middle of the airport.  Very nice.
We had a little time to relax Sunday morning.  Ariel's fever seemed to be gone.
 Watching the planes take off.
We took the Magical Express to Port Canaveral about 45 minutes away.

Our first view of the Disney Dream!  The Dream is one of the newest and biggest Disney boats, built about 3 years ago.
We got right on board.  It was beautiful!  They announced our names as we boarded.  We immediately learned how Ariel was going to react to the Disney characters.  They were everywhere and she was terrified!

From the boat, we could see NASA in the distance!

 Our room!
There's a divider to get us away from the kids.

We checked out the kid's club.  It was a whole floor!  So many rooms with different activities.

 Andy's room!

 Another whole section.
 Monsters, Inc.
The baby area.  This was the only time parents were allowed into these places.

The movie theater!  It was so nice.  They played movies that are still currently in the theaters.   They also had a singalong Frozen a few times.
We had time to hit the pool before the sailing away party.

Everyone on the deck with the characters!
Yes, that is a water slide that goes around the whole ship!

Even this far away Ariel was shaking from Mickey!
Amy's parents were right above us.
 Our first show.
The shows were pretty unbelievable.  Full on Disney productions.

Ariel's fever was back.
 Fun show.
We had time before our 8:15 dinner so he headed back to the room.  It was really late for us who are used to eating at 5.
The kid's beds were set up.
Waiting in line for dinner.  There are three very different dining rooms.  You rotate each night and your servers go with you.
The first night was Animator's Palate.

Pretty in pink.
I have some great videos of what happened.  Maybe I will put them up later.  The walls all came to life with animated characters.  They went from screen to screen talking to people.  It was a actually kind of freaky, they would actually interact with people.  You could just talk to them and they responded.  Cool.
Aden ate lots of Mickey bars.
 It was Jeff's birthday!!!
Some of the pretty artwork around the boat.
 Donald grabbed Jeff and Clar.
Aden ran in for the picture.  The characters were great.  All so friendly.
I took Aden into the kid's club.  This was really late.  After 10.  It was packed with little kids.
 They were having fun.
But Aden wouldn't stay.  He was acting shy.
