The Best Cheerleader

Aden has almost outgrown his first Eagles jersey.  That's kind of sad.  Some of our favorite outfits he won't be able to wear again.  I'm starting to by ones I like in various sizes so he can keep wearing them!

We watched the game while Aden slept.  Melissa and Mark were at the game.  Mark was wearing a Steeler's jersey and hat.  Some guys stole his hat!  It was a brutal game but the Eagles pulled it out.

Jenny got busy with Aden's bib.

Bad girl, Jenny.

After a long but fun weekend, we were finally able to go to bed!

The Rest

You would have thought that after being at the game from 7 till 6 that we would have gone back and rested, but you would be wrong.  We decided to go into town and walk around a little.

We stopped at the Family Clothesline and I got a few t-shirts and some outfits for Aden.

Amy's favorite place!

Town was very busy and we ended up walking around till after 8!  That left no time for naps.  Ugh.  We changed then went to Otto's for dinner number 2.

After that, it was back to the bars.  We went from place to place.  We almost got into a fight at the GMan!  There was some pushing and shoving and words but it ended peacefully.  Lucky for them, I can be pretty crazy when I have to be!  We ended up at the Big Easy, which was packed with kids who could not possibly be 21, even though they scan your driver license.

Anyway, we danced a bit and mingled.  It was fun.  We stayed till closing.  It's now Tuesday afternoon and I'm still feeling it!
We all slept in Sunday morning.  I was supposed to go to the Eagles Steelers game at 4:15, but I was was too tired and I didn't want everyone to have to rush.  We tried to go to the Waffle Shop but as you can see the people were waiting outside.  We ended up at Eat'n Park.  I bet your jealous!

It only took about 2:45 to get home, but lucky for me, I slept the whole way!
I did wake up for a moment and caught the Statue of Liberty?!?  OK, enough about the trip, I promise to be back to Aden soon!

Lions v. Owls

Even though we were up really late Friday, everyone wanted to get an early start for tailgating. Here is the view outside my hotel door.  There was something creepy going on across the street.  We left at 7!

We swung by Adam's apartment to get the rest of the guys and headed to the parking area.

Setting up the tent.

The gang!

First we made breakfast.  Eggs and bacon on bagels.

Messy sandwiches.

The team buses arrive.

Peace between the Eagles and Steelers, meeting the next day.

Needless to say, the hill won.

Quite a crowd.  This was the student entrance.

Good seats near the endzone.

Over 105,000 at Beaver Stadium.

Here comes the Lions.

The student section.  They stand the whole time.  Amy, Melissa and I sat there several times 2 years ago.

The sun was on my right side the whole time.  I got a really funky sun tan!

Many of the fans looked like this.  I think we need to do a Beaver Stadium makeover.

Moved down lower for a little.

The cheerleaders.

The spread was 29.  The score was still 0-0 mid way through the second, but then Penn State woke up and ended up winning 45-3.

We are number 1! (actually 14 according to today's AP poll)

After the game, we headed back to the cars and started dinner.  Burgers and steak.

The bachelor!

Ben and Geoff entertained us.  So we were there from like 8 till 6!  What a day, but the day wasn't over...

Long Island Iced Teas

A bunch of us met at Adam's parent's house at 6:30.  After some great kamish bread (thanks Judy) and being peed on by Lenny, we piled into 2 cars and started out.  We stopped near Harrisburg for dinner then I don't remember the rest of the ride as I fell asleep.  We got to Penn State around 11.  We went to Adam and Ellen's condo.

Adam and Ellen are amazing.  In two weekends, they totally transformed this place.  It looked great.
If anyone needs a place to stay at Penn State, let me know!

It was 12 by the time we headed into town.  I had not been here since Melissa's graduation two years ago.  It was good to be back.  The town was packed.

First we headed to the Cafe for Long Island Iced Teas.  Even Amy likes them! (speaking of Amy, she was at home with Aden for the bachelorette party)

This was taken before Ben and Geoff arrived.  It was pretty cold out but none of the kids seemed to mind.  The guys were in jeans and t-shirts and the girls were dressed for a Saturday night in New York, very short dresses.  Even the two dads got into it!

Friday

It's going to take me a while to post about this weekend.  I was at Penn State for Adam's bachelor party!  Before we left Friday, I did stop by my grandmother's to let her see Aden and to update the pictures on her digital picture frame.  Check back soon for all things PSU!

Tell Me He Is Not Saying Hello

Old City

Last night we went to the gym. Amy's trainer Bill is in Old City so we drove there. Of course there was no where to park. I dropped Amy off but I drove in circles for 1/2 an hour looking for a spot, with a hungry, crying baby in the back. By the time I got back to the gym, Amy was done! We walked over to Continental and had dinner outside. It was nice but chilly. Aden got to wear his first jacket.

We love Continental and eat there often but the prices have been steadily rising lately. We are not too happy about that. We didn't get home till after 9. Aden's bath went well. He didn't cry.  We went to bed way too late as usual.  I will post some other stuff later. This weekend will be crazy as usual, details to follow.

Guests

I need to take some pictures of Aden's room.  We finally put up some of the nice stuff we got on the walls.  Aden and Amy really enjoyed their class today.  They sang songs and read stories and talked about being new families.  Last night Monica, Amy's friend from growing up, and her mom came over to meet the baby.  We walked to La Fourna and had a nice dinner, then came back to hang out.

The end of another long day.
