Pimp Accessories

What was that about last night?  We were all ready for South Street to explode with a Phillies win but didn't get anything.  My poor dad was out there whole time.  I think he's done with baseball for a while.  Here are some random shots from the last few days.

We took Aden to get his pimp accessories.  It is hard to find platform shoes and a cane in his size.  He certainly is pimping with all his girlfriends!

We tried out the Bumbo again.  He was able to hold himself up for a little while before he slumped over.  He is getting close though.

Checking himself out in the mirror.  He's really grabbing onto things now.

I see you!

Till he flips onto his belly.  He will stay like this for several minutes, then he just flops on his belly.

He still likes the swing.

Say goodbye to the Bugaboo bassinet.  It's kind of sad.  Our little boy is growing up.  We decided Aden was ready for the regular seat so I converted the bassinet to the seat.  It actually wasn't that hard.

Here is the seat!  We will give it a try when we go trick or treating on Friday.

Game 3

I know this will bore many of you so I made sure to post some Aden pictures too, just keep going down.  It was pouring all day and we didn't know if the game was going to happen but we headed down there anyway.  It was supposed to start at 8:30 and we got there by subway around 8:15.  It would have been a big hassle to cancel the game so they were determined to play no matter how late.

It was still pouring so the concourse was filled.

We forgot to bring a radio so we waited for news on a start time.  You can kind of make out the rain here.

The tarp was still on.

We tried to keep dry.

Me and Andrew.

Even though it was raining, they took off the tarp and the players started warming up around 9:45!

Those rally towels came in handy to wipe off the seats.

The team introductions.

Now that is a big flag!

The game started after 10, it was the latest start of a World Series game ever.

The game was a nail biter.  It was tied in the 9th.

I never saw this before.  Still tied bottom of the 9th.  Of course were nervous and tired, it was after 1:30!  We ended up with a player on 3rd with no outs.  They walked the next two to load the bases to make  possible force out at home to stop a run from coming in.  They brought in the right fielder to also play in the infield.  Crazy to see 5 infielders.

Didn't do any good anyway.  We did get an infield hit but they weren't able to get the ball home in time and we won!  It was so crazy. I will post the video later.  I got back well after 2 and couldn't sleep as I heard people going crazy on South Street.

Saturday Morning

For the second week in a row, we slept at Amy's house and her mom took Aden at 7 in the morning allowing us to sleep till 10:30.  I could really get used to this.  Now that we are going to be living close by, maybe we can leave him with either my parents or her parents every weekend night!

We showed the house to Amy's aunt and uncle and family, then to Famous for lunch.

I guess we will be going to Famous a lot more now that we are going to be living about 1/2 a mile away!

I went back to the City to go to the Phillies World Series game.  You can skip the next post if you aren't interested.

Amy and Aden stayed in the 'burbs.

I got in at 2 last night after the game and woke up at 7 even though Aden wasn't here.  Now I'm getting ready for the Eagles game!

Aden Picks His Room

Tonight I am supposed to go to the World Series game.  It's been raining all day but they promise the rain will end by the start of the game.  We shall see.   We are starting to get a feel for what we need to do to the house to make it ours.  First, something about that smell... Here is the entryway.

Aden is so excited.  Can you tell?  He loves his elephant.

It goes through to the kitchen. (this should look familiar to anyone who has been in a Toll Brothers house)

The kitchen.  They took the fridge!  Oh well, who needs one.  Don't you love the trim, we paid extra for that!  I didn't take a picture of the part I ripped off.  Do you guys like the white cabinets?  We are trying to decide whether to save them or not.

The family room.  It's a gas fireplace.  Always loved a fireplace with a remote control.

The living room and dining room.  We probably would never use a formal dining room so I think we are going to make it more like a cocktail room with a bar, buffet and cocktail tables.

We already have a bar in the basement.  They took that fridge also!

Friday night, we went to dinner with Adam and Ellen and Mark and Melissa at Ooka in Willow Grove.  Adam and Ellen's wedding is coming fast.  We are excited!

The pretty girls.  It was like a Margate beach reunion just without the bikinis.

Quite a sushi spread!

Do you know what you are doing with those things?

The boys.  We ended up back at Adam's place for Carvel ice cream cake.  It was nice not having to worry about Aden but we really missed him.  When we got home, his feet were sticking through the bars of the crib!  I guess the bumpers are going back in.

School

So, we bought a house.  Now what?  The place is empty and we don't have any furniture.  We are completely overwhelmed by all of this.  Should be a fun adventure though.  Thursday night Keith and Leslie met us for dinner at Villa di Roma before they went to the orchestra.  It was their first time there and they really loved it.  Aden really wants to try those meatballs.  The waitresses loved him and offered to babysit.  We might have to take them up on that.

The little bear wanted to be carried.

Amy had the camera on Wednesday so the rest of the pictures are hers.  This was taken at class. Aden was hanging out with his buddy.

They learned some new songs.  It's really cute.  Amy sings and he laughs.  He's probably laughing at Amy as she can never remember the words.

My day isn't over yet.

After class, Amy drove out to Jenkintown to spend the afternoon with Becky and Sam. They walked to the West Ave Grill for lunch.  Sam was awake but Aden took a nice long nap.  For those of you not following along, Becky is the our rabbi's wife.  They are a cute couple.
