Poor Aden!

There is something weird going on with Aden, but I will get to that in a minute. Friday, I met the girls for a lunch with Stef. She came in to spend some time with Melissa. Her wedding is in 3 weeks! Crazy. She had not seen Aden since he was a few weeks old. She got quite a kick out of playing with him.

Friday, after work, it was off to the Shore. We stopped at Ventura's Off Shore, which was over-priced and not very good. Then Aden to a quick bath and was off to bed. We stayed in and watched "The Reader". Mel just finished the book and gave it to me to read because she wants to discuss. I had already started Twilight 2, don't ask, so now I'm going back and forth between the books. I actually hated Twilight but I'm digging New Moon.

Saturday morning Aden tried climbing into bed with us.

He settled for taking my wallet. Will you look at that hair!

Next he discovered the toilet paper.

He knows he is being bad! But it's too cute to stop.

We walked over to the Longport playground to meet Becky and Larry. They had a much longer walk, about 20 blocks. Back to the swing for Aden.

Hey Sam! Thanks for meeting us!

I love the look on both their faces.

They had fun.

They were going home today after spending a great week.

Cute shot.

So, we go home, get ready, and start walking to the beach when Melissa and I noticed at the same time, red dots all over Aden. We had just fed him peanut butter, which he loved, for the first time, so our immediate thought was an allergic reaction, but it was just on his arms and legs and not around his face and he had no trouble breathing. Aunt Judy happened by and suggested it was chicken pox because some of the dots looked like blisters, but no fever and he was acting normal. We called the doctor, still standing at the intersection Ventnor and Adams. They told us what to look for for chicken pox and allergic reactions. Just to be safe, we picked up Benedryl and gave it to him and went back home.

It was hard to get any good pictures of the dots. They were not getting worse and he seemed ok so we did got to the beach. We figured we could find a pediatrician out there to take a look. We stayed away from all the babies on the beach just in case.

Well everyone took a look at him, including a nurse and the consensus was prickly heat rash, which we had never heard of. But now everyone says they had it, their babies had it and it's common. I guess we feel better, but weird it was new to us. Anyway, he has his one year checkup Monday so we we figure we can wait till then.

He did have some fun on the beach.

He got and everywhere again.

We got a taste of what it will be like when he walks. He crawled away pretty fast.
