The Storm

Ok, let's talk Friday night.  A call from Melissa, Stef, Lauren and Cara woke us about 1:15 a.m.  They were walking back from Maynards and got caught in the storm of the century.  Amy's dad had to go rescue them and had trouble driving around the falling trees.  It was a wild hour or so of crazy lightening, thunder and wind.  The house was swaying and we were pretty nervous but amazingly, the kids never woke up.  Everyone around us lost power but somehow, we never did.

Back to the beach Saturday.
 Off he goes!
Aden still needs a little encouragement to get into the ocean.

The girls had fun with Ariel.  Fist bump!

Walking back, we saw this tree had fallen over and took all the ground around it.  The people are so lucky it didn't hit the house.

The damage was widespread.  Trees and lines down.  Siding and roofs missing.  Debris everywhere.
Enjoying the AC and feeling bad for the people around us.
 Playing with the girls.

The girls brought Melissa's cupcakes from New York.  They are tiny!
Even though there were threats of more storms, we got ready and headed to the Greenhouse.
We didn't make it.  The baby was crying, probably because of teething so we had to stay.
