I guess it's fitting our last weekend of the Jewish year was pretty awful (besides the Eagles win but more on that later). Now we can get off to a fresh start this week. It can only go up from here. As a quick teaser - lost tooth, no soccer, bad colds and crashed car (my poor other baby). Friday night started out fine. We had some time before dinner so we taught Aden to play Rummy. Then the fun started...
Yes, that is Ariel's tooth. If she's in the family room and we walk into the kitchen, she lately has been trying to follow us up the 2 steps. Usually she gives up after looking at the steps. This time she almost made but then fell right on the edge of the step, knocking out one of her only two teeth! She lost 50% of her teeth in one accident! Of course, we were panicked. There was blood everywhere and she was screaming. Amy called the doctor while I called the dentist. The dental office said they would call the dentist in and to run over with the tooth in milk. All I can say is Ariel is a tough little baby. She was laughing by the time we got there. The dentist was happy the whole tooth came out so he wouldn't have to go digging. We didn't know this but they don't try and save baby teeth. We are just going to have to get used to the gap toothed smile for the next seven years. The dentist said this was far worse for us then it was for her. We spoke later to our friend Kasia, who is a dentist and she said the rest of the baby teeth might come in closer so there may not be that much of a gap. Melissa, Mark and Burghy came over when we got back. Ariel clearly did not learn her lesson. Back to climbing the stairs.
She was fine. Just wanted to play with her buddy. She now says "dog" when she sees one! Pretty cool. She has two words, dad and dog.
The babies are always getting in to trouble. What did they find?
Ariel chased him everywhere.
Melissa wanted Aden to write his name in frosting.
It's better to eat it then to write in it!
Saturday morning was Aden's second soccer game. As you may recall, he did not play in the first game because he was worn out from practice. He was ready to go this time. We saw his buddies Jake and Lilly. They all wanted to see the last lonely tooth. As I told you last week, there is a huge hill we have to climb to get to the soccer fields. Amy and I walked up the grass while Aden went up the stairs with Jake. He fell on the stairs and both his elbows and hands were cut and bleeding!
Well that was it for soccer. He would not let us treat him and he would not play in the game. I tried everything to get him going but her was so upset about his injuries, he just couldn't function.
I put him out on the field but no go.
Ariel hung out with Lilly.
They apparently love grass.
So far it was only Saturday morning and Ariel lost a tooth, Aden had a bad cold he was about to spread and Aden wouldn't play soccer.
