Balloons and Cheer

I have some great stories from last Friday.  You may remember the first day of school, we walked there and they had big balloon number for each grade to gather around.  Eli went to school one day and the 4 balloon was in pieces and he was upset and was worried all the other kids would be upset.  That night he made us help him buy a new 4 balloon for the school.  We texted the teacher to let her know it was coming.  Turns out it the was the principal that got rid of the balloons because they were setting off the security system and he didn't want new balloons.  Eli was determined to bring the balloon.  They let him keep it for the day but he had to bring it home but they have him an award for thinking about the other kids!
The other story was middle school cheer.  I mentioned Ariel had been trying out all week.  Here is a picture her friend took at one of the tryouts.  So I had been so stressed about it.  She's really not enjoying school and I was hoping being on the team would help but it really didn't look like she was going to make it.  They were going to find out Friday night.
After school and tryouts Harper came to cheer Ariel up.
A little while later, Ariel's township cheer coach and our friend Lynde, who's daughter was also trying out for the team, called to tell Ariel that she made it!  I love Lynde's reaction.  She's known Ariel since she was little and knew how much this meant to her.
That night it was a movie and ice cream night at the elementary school.  They were playing Inside Out 2 in the gym.
Tons of kids were outside running around.

Amy and Eli helped work the concessions.

Of course Eli wanted to help with the popcorn.
It went late into the night.
We walked home in the dark.
Harper and Ariel were home ordering all kinds of food!  Now Ariel is on three cheer teams!  Have a great weekend!
