One Happy Island

Here we go!  Last Wednesday, my parents, Amy's parents and Aden, Ariel and I got a ride to Newark Airport at 5:30 am.  The kids were in a daze but excited.
Ariel is a wanderer so someone always has to hold her hand!
 Woo Hoo!  Here we go!
I was worried about Ariel being able to sit still for 4 1/2 hours but she did great.
She visited the grandparents a few times.
I had lots of crafts for her to do.
She started making friends immediately.  This was at Aruba customs.
We got to the Renaissance around 5.  Our room was great.  Right on the pool and ocean.

A nice treat waiting for us.
We had time before dinner so we hit the pool.

Needless to say, the kids were thrilled.
 Sunset.

We met everyone for dinner.  The grandparents stayed in another building across the street.

Then we walked around the mall under the hotel.

Time to head back for bed.
 They thankfully got along great.
Thursday morning we headed back to the other hotel for breakfast.  Ariel had to do her plie on the stage.

 I love pelicans!

 Yummy pancakes for everyone.
On the way back to our hotel, we passed a theater.  We should go back next week to watch Star Wars!
The hotel is in the main town so you take a boat to their private island to go to the beach.  This was my third time staying here.
 It's a 10 minute ride.
Flamingos, crabs, hermit crabs and iguanas are all over the island.
The kids new about the flamingos and couldn't wait to meet them.

Ariel got a bit scared.  They were taller than her!  Stay tuned for the rest of day 2 and beyond!
