Pick Me Some Apples Aden!

Sunday was another big day.  Aden wanted to do a little underwear modeling first.

Now all he needs is some underwear!

Amy, Aden and I met the Chevra at Linvilla Orchards in Media.  We had never been there.  It wasn't that far, maybe 30 minutes from the City.  We did get a little lost, damn that gps, but we made it on time.  It was super crowded.  We were not expecting there to be so much to do besides apple picking.

Here's the group getting our boxes and pep talk.  Most of the closer in trees had been picked clean so we had a bit of a walk ahead of us.

Aden needed a little energy boost before we started.

The hat didn't last very long.

Amy got our first apple!  Each row was a different type.  Maybe we should have done some research because we had never heard of most of them.

Amy ate one while we picked.  Shhh.  Actually, you are allowed to eat a few without paying.

The Bugaboo came in handy for carrying the apples. (I carried the baby)  It was pretty good over the rough ground because it has shock absorbers but it's also really heavy.  We got a workout carrying Aden and pushing the stroller and climbing trees.

Hey everyone!

Aden was a great help with those hard to reach apples.

Stretch Aden, you can do it!

Alright, I'll get it myself!

The group went on a hayride but we decided it might not be the best thing for Aden so we strapped him on and walked around.

There was a ton of food there, mostly revolving around apples.  We had to try the apple fritters.  Yummy.

We had fully intended to try and make an apple pie with our freshly picked apples but of course we ended up just buying one.  Good move, it was awesome!

There was a lot of stuff going on there.  Besides the apples, they had some really huge pumpkins, horseback riding, hayrides and campfires.

We will have to bring back our friends and family, that means you, sometime.

Scary

This was my view of Aden in the carrier.

We were actually still hungry so we went into downtown Media.  Cute town, but it was very quiet on a Sunday evening.

We came across the Towne House and decided to give it a try.  It's a very old restaurant as were most of the people eating there but they were very nice and the food was good.  Aden was great all day and never complained.  How did we get so lucky!

We caught the end of the Eagles game here and made it back in time to watch the Phillies lose :-(
