Independence Day

After the walk with Melissa, we ate cold cuts at the house then headed to the beach.  (we are making it a point to not eat out this weekend.  Too crowded)  Amy is done walking to the beach so we drove her there.  We met Aunt Judy and her family, Elaine and her family and many others at the Adam's Ave beach.  The beach was super crowded.  It was supposed to rain today but it was hot and mostly sunny.

Everyone of course comes over to Amy. No one can believe she is still mobile with that belly but she's thankfully still feeling good.

I guess Brianna is really over her fear of the sand.  It's hard to tell but this is a pretty deep pit.

The girls hanging out by the water.

I ran into Jaime, Jordan and Amanda.

Jordan is quite the surfer!

Brianna is my new buddy.

Brianna and Adam.  She is really fast.  He was feeding her and it was cute but I missed it.  Any tips on taking pictures of kids?

That night we went to aunt Judy's for a barbeque.  For the last 3 years, we have taken this shot of the cousins, standing in the same position.  I was added last year after the wedding and I guess baby boy Wexler will be there next year.  Pretty soon, Alex won't be able to hold Brianna up!

We celebrated Melissa's birthday for the 50th time this week.  Here is a shot of all the girls.

Here are the boys, including Murray.

During dinner, people were setting off fireworks all around us.  The boys liked it but then we all walked, including Amy, to the beach to see the real fireworks.  The beach was crowded.  Where we were we could see the fireworks in Ocean City and Margate.  We had to keep looking back and forth.  I held Brianna most of the time.  I brought a seat for Amy.

We found Adam and Ellen in the dark.

This was everyone trying to get over the stairs back to the street.

Back at Judy's Brianna wanted to play with Murray.

Right after the fireworks it started raining.  We barely made it back.  It poured and thundered for hours but of course we decide to go to the Greenhouse which is outside. Amy didn't go.  Her going out at the Shore career is over for now.  They had a tent set up but the rain was still coming in.  People were smoking so it was smokey and stuffy and wet.

Really wet.  My leather shoes got soaked!

Even Adam and Ellen, who love this place more than anything hated it tonight so we left after 15 minutes.
