It's Thursday night. I'm watching Hollywood Week on American Idol and Amy is cleaning the kitchen and listening to Dr. Laura. Pretty much a normal night around here. At least all the kids are asleep. It's hard to believe it's less than a week since the blizzard. A lot of the snow is already gone! It's been sunny and above freezing every day. I guess it was a waste to get the sidewalks shoveled. Back to Saturday. The snow started around 7 the night before. It was a windy, loud night. When we got up, I opened the door and was greeted by a winter wonderland.
We didn't do much most of the morning. Just relaxed. It was too awful to go outside and we were too lazy to do anything around the house.
Aden wanted to go next door to play with Ben. He asked us to drive him! I was like, uh, no way, you are walking.
This was early so there was only a few inches but the winds were nuts.
It was too hard to get to the front, so he headed for the back.
I threw him the frozen pizza he was going to bring and it blew right by him. The poor thing is still buried out there somewhere.
Nothing much to do except eat.
Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies.
I started a crock pot late in the morning and let it go all day. It had bone in chicken, carrots and potatoes. The sauce was soy and honey and a bunch of other spices.
Chillin' with my homey.
The dinner came out good!
It was time for Aden to come back. I opened the garage door and was blown back from the wind and was just in shock in general at the amount of snow.
Here he comes!
He had a lot of trouble.
Later that night, we were watching the news and caught glimpses of Margate. They didn't have as much snow but lots of flooding. It was scary to see these streets so close to our shore houses under water.
Some silliness before bed. Eli was checking out his sofa.
